We are seeking a skilled Editor for an English and Desi Hindi story site. This is a part-time position.

Job Description:
As an Editor, you will be responsible for refining both poorly written English and Hinglish (Hindi written using English fonts) stories. Your primary tasks will include:

• Conducting thorough plagiarism checks before editing.
• Correcting spelling and grammatical errors.
• Simplifying complex sentences and shortening lengthy ones to enhance readability.
• Splitting long paragraphs into smaller, more easily-readable sections while maintaining the narrative flow.
• Writing concise, engaging descriptions for each story (145-156 characters in length).
• Adding relevant tags and contextual links to the stories as per provided guidelines.

You will be expected to edit 2-3 stories daily, excluding those that are rejected.

Requirements:

• Exceptional proficiency in both English and Hindi.
• Ability to read and write in Desi Hindi (Hinglish).
• Experience working with WordPress.
• Basic knowledge of SEO principles.
• Strong editing skills in both English and Hinglish.
• Consistent ability to edit and deliver 14-21 stories per week.
• Punctuality and adherence to weekly output requirements.
• Maximum permissible error rate in edited stories: 1%.
• Familiarity with Indian culture and context.

Salary:

• $1.50 per 1000 words (output).
• Estimated monthly earnings: $150-$200, based on an average story length of 1500 words.
